Dive healthy reefs, vertical walls and wrecks

Beginner divers are spoiled, advanced divers wowed

Experts rank the Cayman Islands as one of the world’s best dive destinations.

You can dive more than 46 dive sites on Cayman Brac, including vertical walls that plunge to 6,000 feet, healthy reefs and coral mounds, and a 330’ Russian warship. Spur and groove formations give you a three dimensional experience as you glide through white, sandy-bottomed grooves between towering banks of coral.

More than 150 types of coral make up our reefs, populated by over 500 species of marine life. You’ll see Parrot fish, Queen Triggerfish, Foureye Butterflyfish, Spotted Drums, Nassau groupers, eels, Yellowhead Jawfish, Scorpionfish, Flying Grunards and more. Spotted Eagle Rays soar by, Stingrays pirouette on sandy bottoms, and turtles silently patrol their underwater world.

Dive two islands while staying on one

Dive boats regularly make the trip from Cayman Brac to Little Cayman’s Bloody Bay Wall, allowing you to dive two islands while staying on one. No matter which island you dive, you’ll enjoy up to 150-foot visibility and water temperatures between 78°F to 85°F. Currents are nonexistent or mild, and dive depths range from 15 feet to 110 feet.

You can boat dive, shore dive and dive at night. Morning boat dives are two-tank trips, departing at 8:30 am. Afternoon boats depart at 2 pm, and, when scheduled, night dives depart at 7:30 pm.

Snorkeling and dive instruction

Snorkelers are welcome on the dive boats. Of course, you can snorkel right off the beach at Carib Sands, or at over a dozen sites on the island.

If you don’t know how to dive, you can learn here, in ideal conditions from professional scuba instructors.

To protect this national treasure, the government has created a model marine park zone system. Spearfishing and collecting are forbidden, and all diving is glove-free.

Stroll on, jump in, stroll off “Valet Diving” by Reef Divers

Award-winning Reef Divers provides transportation to its dive shop and dock, less than five minutes away. Bring your “C” card and gear, then they’ll take it from there. With their valet diving service, all you’ll ever carry is your gear and a towel.

Professional dive staff take your equipment to the boat each day and set up your gear. Once moored at the dive site and after the dive briefing, your tank is brought to you on the entry platform. Entries are easy with a giant stride. You can descend on a fixed descent line or on your own.

When your dive is over, a Divemaster greets you at the ladder, takes your tank and weights, then sets a fresh tank up for your next dive. At the end of your diving day, staff removes your gear from the boat, rinses it, and securely stores it.

Modern dive boats are designed for the diver

There are never more than 20 divers on boats that can seat 36. Each features shade and a sunning area, padded camera table, freshwater shower, ice water, fruit, snacks, and restroom facilities.

Safety features include a VHS ship-to-shore radio, oxygen kit, AED kits, first aid equipment and US Coast Guard approved boat safety equipment. Dive staff hang a regulator line and a surface current line for every dive.

International dive staff focuses on your enjoyment and safety

Reef Divers’ team of PADI and SSI certified professionals earn high rankings for their instruction, customer service and reef expertise. Dive masters and boat captains balance providing you with an exhilarating dive experience with concern for your safety and care for the environment.

Pack light and rent the latest equipment; breathe air or Nitrox

You can rent the latest dive equipment from mask and snorkel to dive computers. Regular air fills and Nitrox fills are available.
